Calangute Police Inspector Paresh Naik said that Patel Bhavinkumar, 35, of Sabarkantha, Gujarat, had lodged a complaint that the accused persons with their common intention had lured him into the club by offering him various illegal services and also extorted Rs 44,000 from him.
“The accused owner of the club and his employees, namely Varun Prajapati, Candon Ghadhai and others extorted money from the complainant. We have taken action by arresting the club employees,” the police said.
"The accused persons, identified as Varun Prajapati and Candan Ghadhai, have been arrested, while preparations are being made to arrest the owner and other accused persons," the police said.
An offense has been registered under sections 386, 420 r/w 34 IPC.
Police said that letters are being sent to the appropriate authorities to take necessary action against the said club.
