Kolkata, The Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) showcasing over 450 exhibitors from 10 countries and 26 Indian states began here on Friday.

Sanjeev Aggarwal, president of Fairfest Media, organizer of the fair, said the countries participating in the TTF include Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Mauritius and Thailand.

He said that Assam, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and other state tourism boards are participating in the annual event.

Claiming that this year's exhibition venue has broken all previous records, Agarwal said at the inauguration at the Milan fair grounds, "More than 450 exhibitors from 10 countries and 26 states are participating in the event. International "There has been a significant increase in participation."

The program is showcasing the 'Visit Terai' initiative in the Himalayan foothills region of Nepal across the Indian border.

He said supporting infrastructure like good roads and dozens of hassle-free entry points spread across the Indian states of West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand could make it a good travel option for discerning tourists.
