Kolkata: According to the Election Commission website, after the initial round of counting, TMC has overtaken its rivals and is leading on nine seats, while BJP is leading on two and Congress on one seat.

TMC candidate and sitting MP Abhishek Banerjee is leading over his nearest rival Abhijit Das of BJP in the Diamond Harbor constituency by a margin of 8707 votes.

After counting of postal ballots, TMC's Hooghly candidate Rachna Banerjee is leading over her nearest BJP rival and sitting MP Locket Chatterjee.

TMC candidate and two-time MP Asit Mal is leading from Bolpur over his nearest rival Piya Saha of BJP by 6010 votes.

In Malda South, Congress candidate Isha Khan Choudhary is leading by 11,733 votes over her nearest BJP rival Srirupa Mitra Choudhary.

In Jadavpur, TMC's Sayani Ghosh is leading over her nearest rival BJP rival Anirban Ganguly by 8048 votes.

In Malda North, sitting MP and BJP candidate Khagen Murmu is leading over his nearest rival TMC's Prasun Banerjee by a margin of 11,119 votes.

In Cooch Behar, BJP candidate and sitting MP Nishihat Pramanik is trailing his TMC candidate Jagdish Chandra Barma Basunia by a margin of 5529 votes.

In Kolkata South seat, TMC candidate Mala Roy is leading over her nearest rival CPI(M) Saira Shah Haleem by a margin of 12,491 votes.
