Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra) tigress 'Samriddhi' died on Saturday morning after illness at the municipal corporation-run Siddharth Zoo here, an official release said.
It said the 15-year-old cat was ill for the past two weeks and had high levels of urea and creatinine in its blood.
According to the autopsy report the cause of death was heart failure.
Samridhi had given birth to triplets, and two of her cubs were sent to Ahmedabad Zoo and one to Pune Zoo. The remaining seven cubs belong to Siddharth Zoo.
