The Dalai Lama's personal physician, Dr. Tsetan D Sadutshang, and the Dalai Lama's Secretary of Holiness, Tenzin Taklha, detailed the Dalai Lama's condition following his total knee replacement surgery in a briefing on Friday. in the morning.

"The Dalai Lama's knee surgery this morning was very successful and his sainthood is now resting in his hospital room. His sainthood condition is stable," they said in the online briefing on X.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama's doctor also said there was no problem with the treatment.

"There was no problem. His Holiness is ready for lunch right now. Tomorrow he will be discharged from the hospital," he said.

"All the doctors and nurses in the hospital are providing their service at the highest level to his holiness," he said, adding that all the hospital staff here are very dedicated to providing their best services to his holiness.

His doctor emphasized that this is the best hospital for knee surgery in the United States.

Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama arrived in New York on Monday after a stop in Zurich, Switzerland.

He was welcomed by members of the Tibetan community and their well-wishers.

The Dalai Lama left for Delhi from Dharamshala on Friday to head to the United States for his knee surgery.

During his stopover in Switzerland, he received a traditional Tibetan welcome upon his arrival at a Zurich hotel.

His supporters and guests watched as the Dalai Lama walked through the hotel lobby. He greeted an old friend as he walked through the Zurich hotel lobby.
