Baripada (Odisha), A court in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday sentenced three people to life imprisonment for the murder of a 17-year-old boy in 2021.
Additional public prosecutor Krishna Chandra Das said Mayurbhanj district additional sessions judge Satyanarayan Patra convicted the three accused - Sowakar Mohonto (53), Jatrindranath Mohonto (43) and Kam Lochan Mohonto (45) - and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000.
In case of non-payment of fine, the guilty persons will have to remain in jail for additional six months.
On June 10, 2021, all three had murdered a minor boy Harekrishna Mohonto in Mohulbani village over a land dispute.
