Three Nepalese nationals from the same family were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a tractor trolley near the India-Nepal border in Shravasti (UP), Uttar Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.

Police station in-charge Gaurav said that the incident took place on Tuesday night, in which Lal Bahadur (30), Govardhan Dharti (50) and Kalpana Shrestha (28) of a Nepali family died in Rajapur village under Sirsia police station of Indian territory. Singh said.

He said that due to the collision the petrol tank of the motorcycle burst and caught fire.

The station in-charge said that after the relatives of the deceased were identified, their post-mortem was conducted and after completing the legal formalities, the bodies were handed over.

Police station in-charge said that the tractor driver left the vehicle on the spot and ran away. He said that the tractor has been seized and the driver is being searched.
