Noida, Noida Police has arrested three suspected members of the Bawariya gang and seized stolen goods worth more than Rs 20 lakh from them. The officer gave this information on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shakti Moha Awasthi said the accused were caught by the Crime Response Team (CRT) and personnel of Sector 20 police station.

"These people are originally from Punjab. Here they used to carry out their activities on motorcycles for chain snatching. Later, they used to park the bikes at random places to mislead the police and flee in the car. "

"Ten chains weighing about 100 grams and worth Rs 8 to 9 lakh have been seized from their possession. A motorcycle stolen by them has been seized along with a car," he told reporters.

Police said they also seized three pistols and some cartridges from the accused.

They were involved in crimes in Jaipur, Haridwar and Sitapur and had carried out dozens of snatching incidents in the National Capital Region. He also lived in Seemapuri area of ​​Delhi for some time, he said.

“They usually commit crimes in crowded areas,” he said.

Police said those arrested have been identified as gang leader Sher Singh alias Sheru (38), Sunny Sharma alias Rampal (30) and Daya Sagar (25).

Police said that an FIR has been registered against him under IPC 392, 411,413,414 and Section 3/25 of the Arms Act at Noida Sector 20 Police Station.
