The members of this committee are Principal Secretary of Urban Development Department P. Swarup and Rajkumar Beniwal till June 30.

Ashwini Kumar will present the report before the Gujarat High Court on July 4.

The tragic incident is already being investigated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT), Rajkot Police, Crime Branch and Special Operations Group (SOG).

Prakash Chand Hiran, one of the co-owners and an accused in the case, was one of the 28 people who lost their lives in the fire incident.

Of the 11 persons accused of culpable homicide, 10 have been arrested so far, including six co-owners and four officials of the Rajkot civic body.

Last week, Subhash Trivedi, head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case, had visited Rajkot to expedite the investigation process.

ADGP Trivedi, CID (Crime), said, "The efficiency of the fire department, functioning of various municipal departments and compliance with General Development Control Regulations (GDCR) and Rajkot Urban Development Authority (RUDA) rules are being examined." ,

Emphasizing the need for a thorough and detailed investigation, he also said that possible errors are being investigated by the Town Planning Department.
