Three migrant workers hailing from Bihar have died in two separate incidents at construction sites in Noida, Noida and Noida Extension, prompting home buyers' body to raise concerns over safety standards in such projects.

Nazim Ali and Rajabul Rehman, both aged around 35, died after they "accidentally" fell while working on the 10th floor of the under-construction Verona Heights Society in Bisrakh area of ​​Noida Extension on Friday, a police spokesperson said. .

The officer said that both were residents of Katihar district of Bihar.

According to police, in another incident on Friday night, four people were injured when scaffolding collapsed due to dust accumulation at a construction site in Noida's Sector 58 and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

One of them, identified as Jai Govind Jha, 50, succumbed to his injuries, while the other is undergoing treatment, the spokesperson said.

Police said Jha was a resident of Darbhanga district of Bihar and worked as a construction laborer in Noida.

Police said legal proceedings have been initiated in both the cases.

Meanwhile, home buyers' organization NEFOWA has raised concerns over the safety of construction workers at construction sites.

''Late last night, two workers fell to their deaths while working from the 10th floor of the high-rise Verona Heights F Tower in Amrapali Leisure Valley. About eight months ago, one worker had died in a similar project of the Amrapali Group. “To lift the collapse,” said Dipankar Kumar, vice-president of Nephova.

Dipankar Kumar, who bought a house in Amrapali Verona Heights and is a petitioner in the Supreme Court, raised questions on safety standards at the workplace.
