Shimla: Three people were injured in firing by a person here over a land dispute. Police gave this information on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi said that there was a long-running dispute over land between Dhyan Singh and Durga Ram, sons of Singh Ram, in Tharu village of Theog sub-division of Shimla district.
Police said Dhyan allegedly fired at his brother Durga when he reached the disputed street with Lal Singh, Sandeep and Shubham.
While Durga had a narrow escape, three others were injured in the attack and were taken to Indira Gandhi Medical College here for treatment, he said.
Police said they have taken Dhyan into custody and also recovered the 12 bore rifle H used in the attack.
He told that investigation of the matter is going on.
