Guwahati: Three people were arrested and 10,000 YABA tablets seized in Rangia in Assam's Kamrup district on Monday, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

The Special Task Force (STF) of the state police busted the interstate drug deal, he said.

“Based on credible inputs of inter-state drug dealing, @STFAssam conducted an operation in the early hours and intercepted a vehicle at Rangia,” Sarma wrote to OX.

He said that during the search of the vehicle, 10,000 YABA tablets were recovered and three people were arrested.

YABA tablets are illegal in India because they contain methamphetamine, which is a Schedule I substance under the Controlled Substances Act.
