Udupi (Karnataka): Three people were arrested and deadly weapons seized from them on Saturday for their involvement in a clash between members of a gang here. Police gave this information.

According to the police, two cars carrying four people each had a road fight at Kunjibettu in Udupi city police limits on the night of May 18. They all belong to 'Garuda Gang'.

He said the members tried to attack each other with weapons to 'settle' the real estate dispute.After the video of the fight on the road went viral, the police swung into action and arrested three people, identified as Aashiq, Rakib and Saqlain. Police also seized knives and two cars.

Superintendent of Police Arun K said, "An FIR has been registered in this regard at Udupi city police station. We are searching for other persons involved in the incident, who were found absconding."

CCTV footage shows a white car moving backwards and hitting a brown vehicle before speeding away, while one of the occupants is seen running after it brandishing a sword.Then the white car hit him, due to which he got injured.

Going to 'X', BJP's Karnataka unit on Saturday shared the purported video of the incident and criticized the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government for the alleged "deteriorating law and order situation" in the state and used the hashtag #CongressFailsKarnataka.
