Mumbai: A Vistara flight carrying 306 people from Paris to Mumbai received a bomb threat following which a full emergency was declared at the city's airport before it could reach here. A source gave this information.

The flight landed at 10:19 am on Sunday, the source said.

Vistara reported on Sunday that its, "Flight UK 024 from Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport to Mumbai was found carrying a hand-written note on an air sickness bag containing a bomb threat," the source said.

Subsequently, a full emergency was declared at 10:08 am, according to the source, who said the flight landed at 10:19 am.

"The Paris-Mumbai flight was carrying 294 passengers and 12 crew members," the source said.

Vistara confirmed in a statement that "a security concern has been raised by our staff during travel on the airline's flight UK 024, operating from Paris to Mumbai on 2 June 2024."

Following the protocol, the airline immediately informed the concerned authorities, a Vistara spokesperson said in the statement.

It also said that the flight has landed at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and the airline is fully cooperating with the security agencies for all mandatory checks.
