New Delhi [India]: Two hospitals in Delhi received bomb threat emails on Sunday, an official said. According to police officials, bomb threat emails were received at Burar Government Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. Delhi Police took swift action after receiving information about the threatening email and started investigation. "Bomb threat email found at Burari Government Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mangolpuri, search operation underway," Delhi Fire Service said in a statement. Delhi Police said, "An email was received regarding a bomb threat at Burari Hospital. Loka police and bomb disposal squad (BDT) are at the hospital, investigating a suspicious activity. Nothing has been found so far." " This comes a few days after many schools in Delhi received bomb threats. According to Delhi Police, a total of 131 schools received threat emails on May 1. However, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an official statement calling the email a "hoax". There is no need to panic. It appears the mail is a hoax. Delhi Police and security agencies are taking necessary steps as per protocol,” the Home Ministry's official release said.
