Lucknow: About 12.94 percent voters cast their votes in the first two hours of voting on Tuesday for 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections.

While 14.71 percent voting took place in Sambhal, it was 13.43 percent in Hathras (SC), 12.74 percent in Agra (SC), 14 percent in Fatehpur Sikri, 13.36 percent in Firozabad, 12.18 percent in Mainpuri, 13.16 percent in Etah, 12.89 percent in Badaun. Voting took place. According to EC, till 9 am, AONL was 11.42 percent and Bareilly was 11.59 percent.

Voting started at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm.

Prominent among those who cast their votes are SP's Dharmendra Yadav in Saifai, BJ candidates SP Singh Baghel and Parmeshwar Lal Saini in Agra and Sambha respectively.

Over 1.89 crore voters are eligible to vote in the constituencies of Sambhal, Hathras (SC), Agra (SC), Fatehpur Sikri, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etah, Badaun Amla and Bareilly.

This is an important phase for the family members of SP patron Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Samajwadi Party's (SP) Dimple Yadav aims to retain the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, which she won in the by-election after the death of her father-in-law and party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Akshay Yadav, son of SP's National Principal General Secretary Ramgopa Yadav, will try to capture the Firozabad seat again.

Aditya Yadav, son of SP national general secretary Shivpal Yadav, is making his electoral debut from Badaun constituency, which was won by his cousin Dharmendra Yadav in 2014.

Uttar Pradesh has 80 parliamentary constituencies, the highest among all states. Voting in the state will be held in all seven phases from April 19 to June 1.

Counting of votes will take place on June 4.
