Washington, Pentagon has said that the third edition of Indus-X Investor Summit will be held in Silicon Valley in September.

On June 21 last year, the US Department of Defense (DoD) and the Indian Defense Ministry launched the India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Washington DC.

"Indus-X is one of the ways the DoD (Department of Defense) is helping advance initiatives between our two nations on critical and emerging technology," Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said at a press conference here on Tuesday. Does."

Ryder said, “Together with the Indian Defense Ministry, we are facilitating dynamic partnerships between defense technology companies, investors and researchers. We have already organized two Indus-X summits, one here in Washington and The second one in New Delhi.

In its first year, INDUS-X advances the two countries' commitment to build a defense innovation bridge under the Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET) initiative, the Pentagon said in a fact sheet.

INDUS-X strengthens private sector collaboration between the US and India by facilitating partnerships between defense technology companies, investors, and researchers.

The summit in September will focus on harnessing private capital for defense innovation. It will be co-hosted by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) and Stanford University.
