New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said he will surrender on June 2 and added that he will not bow down even if he is tortured in jail.

The Supreme Court had granted interim bail to the national convenor of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) till June 1 for the Lok Sabha election campaign. After being released from jail, Kejriwal campaigned in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi and Maharashtra.

"I have to surrender on June 2 and I don't know how long I will stay in jail this time. I am going to jail to save this country from dictatorship and I am proud of it," the Chief Minister said in a virtual press conference. Is." ,

Kejriwal said, "They tried to break me. When I was in jail, they stopped my medicines. After being arrested, my weight reduced by six kilos. When I was arrested, my weight was 70 kilos. Jail I haven't gained any weight since coming out." Said.

Doctors have recommended several tests and "they think it may be indicative of some underlying medical condition," he said.

The Chief Minister said that he would leave his residence at around 3 pm on Sunday to surrender in Tihar Jail.

He said, "They will try to harass me more but I will not bow down. I will be worried about you (people) after I go back to jail. I want to assure you that your services will not be stopped. I will soon provide Rs. I will start doing it." Rs 1,000 to my mothers and sisters,” he said, referring to the scheme to give a monthly honorarium of Rs 1,000.

Kejriwal also asked people to pray for his mother who is unwell.
