The DMK MP was present at the inauguration of the new Ultrasonography (USG Machine) service for pregnant mothers. The ceremony was held at the center that provides social assistance to pregnant and postpartum women at the Pudukkottai Primary Health Center in Tuticorin.
Kanimozhi criticized the Prime Minister for speaking about Manipur in Parliament only after the opposition staged a strike in Rajya Sabha and said, "After the opposition parties staged a strike, the Prime Minister started talking about the situation in law and order in Manipur."
