New Delhi: President Draupadi Murmu on Tuesday termed the terrorist attack on an army convoy in Jammu and Kashmir as a "cowardly act" and said it deserves condemnation and strong response.

A group of heavily armed terrorists on Monday ambushed a patrolling party in Badnota area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, killing five Army personnel and injuring several.

This terrorist attack was the fifth terrorist attack in Jammu region in a month.

In a post on Twitter, Murmu said, "My thoughts are with the families of those brave men who laid down their lives in this ongoing war against terrorism in all its forms. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured."
