New Delhi: Delhi Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj on Monday said the state government's fact-finding committee will on Tuesday visit the Ridge area where 1,100 trees were reportedly cut.

AAP leaders have alleged that on the verbal instructions of the Lieutenant Governor, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) cut 1,100 trees in the Southern Ridge area.

The government has constituted a fact-finding committee comprising ministers Bhardwaj, Atishi and Imran Hussain to investigate the matter.

"Fact Finding Committee will visit the site at SAARC Chowk, Satbari Chhatarpur tomorrow at around 11:30 am where around 1100 trees have been illegally cut by DDA. It is alleged that trees were cut illegally in ECO in the name of road widening These are sensitive areas of the ridge,” Bhardwaj said in a post on Twitter.
