Police officials have said divers will resume search operations from Monday.
Station House Officer of BBD police station, Ajay Narayan Singh, said the incident took place on Sunday evening.
The news came to light when Manisha's sister, Nisha Khan, and her friend Deepal contacted UP 112 emergency services, and informed that Manisha had fallen into the canal while shooting a reel for their social media page.
On receiving the alert, a police team was sent to the spot, where the villagers also informed them about the incident.
SHO Singh said, "A video obtained from Nisha's mobile phone shows her dancing and filming a reel, when suddenly Manisha slips into the canal."
Despite immediate efforts by divers, Manisha's body could not be found. It was told that Manisha along with her sisters and friends had hired an auto-rickshaw from Munshi Pulia and gone towards Indira Canal for picnic.
