New Delhi [India], The National Investigation Agency seized digital devices and some incriminating material during raids at three locations in Jharkhand in a case related to the Tetriyakhand coal mine attack and extortion, the agency said on Thursday.

In Jharkhand, three locations in Hazaribagh and Ranchi districts linked to associates of the notorious Aman Sahu gang were raided on Wednesday.

Digital devices, a Fortuner vehicle and some incriminating material were seized during searches conducted at the premises of various suspects in the case (RC-01/2021/NIA/RNC), the counter-terrorism agency said.

The NIA had earlier filed a charge sheet against 24 accused in the case related to the attack by Sujit Sinha, Aman Sahu and other gang members on the Tetriyakhand coal mine in Latehar district of Jharkhand.

The attack was carried out in December 2020 as part of a criminal conspiracy hatched by these gangs to extort money and disrupt government work.

The NIA, which took over the investigation in March 2021, had arrested Aman Sahu's key aide Shankar Yadav after seizing Rs 1.30 crore during searches at five locations in Bihar in February this year.
