Mumbai, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said temperatures were recorded above 4 degrees Celsius in many parts of Maharashtra on Tuesday, while Jalgaon recorded a high of 45.2 degrees Celsius.

It said the two weather observatories for Santa Cruz and Colaba, suburbs and the island city of Mumbai, recorded temperatures of 34.9 and 35 degrees Celsius respectively.

IMD said that 43.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Beed, 43 in Malegaon, 41.8 in Nashik and Solapur, 41.7 in Parbhani, 41.6 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 41 in Ahmednagar, 40.6 in Pune and 40.5 degrees Celsius in Dharashiv.
