The official rendition of the song (short version) was the highlight of the main official function of the decennial Foundation Day celebrations at the Parade Ground, Secunderabad.

As soon as the song was played, the Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, top officials and other participants stood up.

Both Andy Sri and Keeravani were also present at the ceremony.The poet, who wrote the song 20 years ago, was seen getting emotional.

After the Congress came to power in December 2023, the song was adopted as the official anthem of the state.

The Chief Minister himself held a few meetings with Andy Sri and Keeravani to finalize the composition of the song.

Two versions of "Jai Jaihe Telangana" were approved at a meeting of the Chief Minister, ministers, leaders of Congress and its allies on 30 May.

This finalized the 2.30-minute version and the full 13.30-minute version. To facilitate its presentation at government events, an abbreviated version consisting of three verses will be used.The state government will honor Andi Sri and Keeravani in the cultural carnival to be held at Tank Bund in the evening.

This was the first State Foundation Day celebration after the Congress came to power in Telangana in December 2023.

After paying homage to the martyrs at Telangana Amarveerula Stupam located at Gunpark, the Chief Minister reached the Parade Ground, where he hoisted the national flag.

Various battalions of Telangana Special Police saluted the Chief Minister in the parade.

The Chief Minister inspected the parade, after which contingents of City Armed Reserve, Octopus, Mounted Police Car, Disaster Response and Fire Services, Bharat Scouts and Guides and residential schools marched-past.Revanth Reddy presented awards to police personnel and best contingents on the occasion.
