Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy chaired a review meeting on the setting up of integrated residential schools with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari and other officials.

The government plans to set up residential schools for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and minorities at one place and an integrated residential school is proposed in each of the 119 assembly constituencies.

As a pilot project, integrated residential schools will be set up in Kodangan and Madhira constituencies, represented by Revanth Reddy and Vikramark respectively.

The government has already acquired 20 acres of land in Kodangal and Madhira for setting up integrated residential schools.

The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister saw some designs prepared by the architects.

Meanwhile, leaders of various teachers unions met the Chief Minister on Sunday and thanked him for resolving the upgradation issue pending for the last 15 years. He also thanked the teachers for giving them promotions.

Under the leadership of Harshvardhan Reddy, founder president of Telangana Panchayat Raj Teachers Association, leaders of various associations met the Chief Minister and thanked him.
