As the state is about to complete 10 years of its formation, Chief Minister A. The cabinet meeting chaired by Revanth Reddy took the decision to organize the celebrations on a large scale.

Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and D. Sridhar Babu told media persons after the cabinet meeting that in view of the model code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, the government will write to the Election Commission of India seeking permission to hold the function.
The government is also planning to honor all those who worked for the building of the state.
In another major decision, the Cabinet decided to give a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal for fine rice grown by farmers from the upcoming Kharif season.It decided to encourage farmers to increase cultivation of super-fine varieties of paddy. The cabinet also decided to accelerate the procurement of food grains.
District collectors have been entrusted with full responsibility to ensure smooth procurement from farmers.
Paddy soaked due to unseasonal rain will also be purchased at Minimum Support Price (MSP).
The officials concerned have been asked to calculate the loss suffered by farmers in some parts of the state due to unseasonal rains.The ministers said the government has already procured 35 lakh metric tonnes of grains across the state and the money has been deposited into the accounts of farmers within three days. He claimed that the Congress government has set a new record by making the payment within three days.
The cabinet decided to take strict action to stop the sale of fake seeds. It directed officials to keep ready the stock of seeds, fertilizers and other needs of farmers as the Kharif season was about to start soon.
It approved allocation of Rs 600 crore to improve the infrastructure of government schools.The maintenance of schools has been handed over to self-help societies through Amma Adarsh Vidyalaya Yojana.
The cabinet discussed issues of emergency and urgent nature as per the direction of the Election Commission, which gave conditional approval to the cabinet meeting on Sunday. It had made it clear that issues related to public capital Hyderabad and crop loan waiver would be postponed till the completion of the Lok Sabha elections.The cabinet meeting to be held on Saturday was postponed due to lack of permission from the Election Commission.
