Director General of Police Ravi Gupta said the FIR was registered after Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka promised action when actor Sai Dharam Tej alleged child abuse online after the disgusting comment of a YouTuber.

The police chief said the police team was identifying them. “Strict measures will be taken next. We are committed to protecting all citizens, especially children. Criminals who misuse social networks to create humor will face justice,” he published in ‘X’.

The DGP said the government and police would intensify efforts to create awareness on child safety and responsible use of social media.

Earlier, Sai Dharam Tej took to 'X' to express his outrage and tagged the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of both Telugu states to demand necessary action to curb such horrible acts in future.

“This is beyond appalling, disgusting and terrifying. Monsters like these go unnoticed on the widely used social platform and commit child abuse under the guise of what is called Fun & Dank. Child safety is the need of the hour,” he wrote while sharing a video of a Telugu YouTuber making inappropriate comments on a video featuring a father and his daughter.

The YouTuber made the comments during a live chat session with his friends.

Dharam Tej, nephew of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan, also asked parents to use "some kind of discretion while posting a video or photographs of their children as the social media world has become cutthroat." and dangerous and is "It is very difficult to control or prevent these animals from becoming violent and dangerous."

“So please be cautious, aware and take proper care before posting photos or videos of your children, and to those people who have stooped to such low standards, I hope you never see the turmoil of a parent with regarding his comments,” the actor wrote.

Reacting to his post, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy thanked Dharam Tej for informing them about the incident. “Child safety is the top priority for our government. We will investigate this incident and take appropriate action,” reads the post by the Chief Minister's official handle on 'X'.

“Child safety is, indeed, a top priority. We will ensure that our government takes necessary measures to prevent child abuse and exploitation on social media platforms. Let us work together to create a safer online environment for our children,” wrote Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka.
