The incident came to light when the housekeeping staff of Mini Mahal Hotel located at Naka in Lucknow knocked on the door but got no response. After this the hotel manager informed the police about the matter.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and broke the door and found them hanging from the fan.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Raveena Tyagi said that prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the forensic team is investigating the case.
According to the information, the couple reached the hotel on Sunday and booked a room.
The hotel said, "The two arrived on Sunday, booked a room and gave their Aadhar cards. They came out only once to get water and did not leave again. However, when our housekeeping staff went to clean their room, no one No response received." Manager Development.

"Their addresses have been found on Aadhaar cards; however, no suicide note was recovered from the spot," the DCP said.
He said that his family members have been informed.
According to the police, the youth was a resident of Bahraich and worked in a private job in Delhi, while the woman was a native of Jaunpur and was studying in Lucknow.
