Pune, a day after the Juvenile Justice Board granted bail to a teenager involved in a car accident that killed two people even though he was asked to write a "300-word essay", police said on Monday. That they would seek permission from the High Court to prosecute. Him as an adult.

A Porsche car, allegedly driven by a 17-year-old teenager, who police claim was drunk, hit two people riding a motorcycle in Kalyani Nagar area here around 3.15 am on Sunday, killing them.

"On Sunday itself, we had filed an application before the court (board) seeking permission to try the juvenile as an adult and send him to an observation home as the crime was heinous, but the petition was rejected. Now we are going to the sessions court. They are knocking on the door with the same plea,” said Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.

He said his blood report has not been received yet but preliminary investigation revealed that the teenager was drunk at the time of the accident.Commissioner Kuma said, "The CCTV footage of the bar clearly shows that the teenager was consuming alcohol. There is no doubt that the teenager was driving the car after drinking alcohol. We will submit all these facts in the court. "

“We have registered an offense against her father under sections 75 and 7 of the Juvenile Justice Act and also against the owners of the BA establishment for serving liquor to an underage person. We transferred the investigation of these cases to the crime branch Is." he adds.

Section 75 deals with "willfully neglecting a child, or exposing a child to mental or physical illness", while Section 77 deals with supplying intoxicating liquor or drugs to a child.
