Sources close to the Indian team have told IANS, "The team led by Rohit is currently staying at their hotel Hilton in Barbados."

The team was originally scheduled to depart Barbados at 11am local time (8:30pm IST) on Monday, but has now been delayed due to the impending storm. Their planned route was to New York, followed by a connecting flight to Dubai and finally back to India.

What's worse, the Hilton, where India is staying, is close to the coast and potentially vulnerable to a Category 3 storm. The storm is expected to hit Barbados either midnight Sunday or Monday morning.

Barbadian Prime Minister Mia Mottley announced that Grantley Adams International Airport would close overnight on Sunday due to the storm threat, preventing any flights from landing or taking off.

However, it is unknown at this point if they will be able to board that flight, but if they are caught in severe weather, they could be stranded in Barbados for a period of 36 to 48 hours.
