BENGALURU: The 16th edition of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru will start from a fixed venue this time, organizers said on Sunday while giving details about the meticulous arrangements made for the race.

This year more than 28000 registered participants will start the race from Cubbo Road outside Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw Parade Ground.

According to SAI organisers, the pre-race venue for all runners is Rajendra Singhji Army Officers Institute (RSAOI) and post-race activities will be held at the Manekshaw Ground on Tuesday.

There will be competitions in the World Athletics Gold Label Race, TCS 10K in 10K (Open and Elite), Maja Run, Champions with Disability and Silver Run.

Speaking at the technical press meet, race director, Hugh Jones, said: "A lot of the same roads are being used in this year's race, but with a different balance. The new starts and finishes are at a very high standard.

"But the course goes back and forth several times, so it will be interesting to see how the participants will pace themselves in the final stages."

For the race day, the organizers have also set up a 30-bed mini hospital and five medical stations every two kilometers of the route.
