Washington, India's top corporate sector leader Surya Kant of Tata Sons, known for his pioneering contribution to the growth of India's IT sector, has joined the Board of Directors of the US-US Strategic and Partnership Forum. India (USISPF).

Kant, an industry veteran with 40 years of experience, leads several important initiatives between the US and India in his role at Tata Sons Private Limited. He advises many Tata group companies on their business strategies in the US, helping them expand further and chart new horizons.

USISPF said Kant has made significant contributions to the growth of the Indian IT industry and the Tata group's flagship IT and consulting services company, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

He led operations across multiple global offices (US, Japan, UK and North India) as head of these geographies. Under his leadership, TCS North America's annual revenue grew from $1 billion to $13 billion. He oversaw TCS's transition to title sponsor of the New York City Marathon, the largest marathon in the world.
