CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday welcomed the bail granted to former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and said his arrest was a 'political hunt' by the BJP-led Central government.

Furthermore, he praised Hemant as a strong tribal leader from whom 'the post of Chief Minister was snatched away'. Stalin said Hemant had to spend five months in jail and was prevented from campaigning for the recently held Lok Sabha elections.
