England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and invited Oman to bat first at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound. Fast bowlers Joffra Archer and Mark Wood took early wickets after Rashid's magical spell. Archer and Wood took three wickets each while Reece Topley did not get any wicket in his three overs.

Rashid said, "I think the most enjoyable thing as a bowling unit was how we bowled with the seamers, every seamer, Topple [Topley], Joff [Archer], Woody [Wood], we all bowled. Bowled really good partnerships." Said after the match.

"Very happy. We talked about getting into this game. I felt we needed a win and a comprehensive win. We set the tone with the ball there. I thought Seamers (Archer), Woody (Wood), the top order completely set the tone there, but no, we were very happy to get that win the way we did."

Rashid put in a remarkable performance, showcasing his versatility and skills as a spinner. He took wickets through a variety of means, including stumpings and slip catches at leg break, as well as hitting the stumps with his deceptive googlies. His ability to consistently trouble the batsmen with a variety of balls made it a memorable outing for him.

“Yes, it is always good, it is always good to take three-four wickets, whether it is against Oman, Australia or India, it is always good to get their wickets, but I thought to myself, I felt fine, I felt fine there. Just take a few wickets, spin the ball, googly, whatever, mix it up," the spinner said.

“I think first and foremost, our mindset was to win the game.If we are going into the game thinking that we have to bowl them out for 50 and then chase the target within three and a half overs... that is what happened today. We won." After the toss, we knew that if we stuck to our guns, stuck to our strengths, the fast bowlers, the spinners, stayed good and positive, we would do the job," he added.

England take on Namibia in their final group-stage match at the same venue on Saturday. England need to win the match by a huge margin to stay in the race for the Super Eights and also have to pray for Scotland's defeat against Australia on Sunday.
