India, the 2007 T20 World Cup champions, secured seven points from four matches, including wins over Ireland, Pakistan and the United States, and topped the Group A points table as the lone undefeated team. They will now turn their attention to their first Super Eight match against Afghanistan at the Kensington Oval, Barbados on June 20.

“India's performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 has been nothing short of commendable. They have been working very hard as a team and their performance so far in the World Cup reflects that effort and dedication. Filled with some of the best T20 players in the world, they have been a dominant force.”

“Qualifying for the Super 8 stage by remaining undefeated is a remarkable achievement, but their focus must remain on each individual match to ensure they give their best performance on any given day. One can definitely hope that this year they will bring the World Cup trophy back to India, Ishant said on the show 'Caught & Bold' on Disney+Hotstar.

India are scheduled to face Netherlands or Bangladesh in their second Super Eight match on June 22 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. They will face Australia in their third Super Eight match at the Darren Sammy Cricket Stadium in Gros. Islet, Saint Lucia on 24 June.

The top two teams from the two groups of Super Eight will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals will take place in Guyana and Trinidad on 26 and 27 June respectively, before the final will take place in Barbados on 29 June. If India reaches the semi-finals, they will play in Guyana.
