DALLAS [US]: Monank Patel-led USA won the toss and elected to bowl against Babar Azam's Pakistan in the 11th match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas on Thursday.

The US got off to a great start to the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 after securing a seven-wicket win against Canada in the tournament opener. Currently, the US is placed second in the Group A standings of the T20 World Cup 2024 with two points.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is entering the tournament after a disappointing defeat in the T20 series against England. The 'Men in Green' have not been in their best form but will be keen to start the campaign on a good note.US captain Monank Patel said that they want to ensure that they play their best cricket.

"We will bowl first. We are playing on the same surface and chasing is easier on this ground, knowing the target is also better. It was a great game and we want to continue that momentum. It is a new challenge And Monck said, we want to make sure that we play our best cricket.Pakistan captain Babar Azam confirmed that Imad Wasim has suffered an injury and they will play with four fast bowlers against America.

"We would have also bowled first. It is a morning match, the pitch is fresh and we will try to put runs on the board. It is good to see the sun is out, we have not seen sunshine for the last 3-4 days." Babar said, “He (Imad) has an injury but we will cover it by playing four fast bowlers.,
