Dallas [US]: Right-handed batsman Max O'Dowd scored a half-century as Netherlands registered a six-wicket win over Nepal in the 7th match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

Max Oudoud (54* off 48 balls, 4 fours and 1 six) performed brilliantly in the second innings and helped the Dutch team successfully chase the target. O'Dowd played at a strike rate of 112.50 and added important runs to the scoreboard.

Vikramjeet Singh (22 runs from 28 balls, 4 fours) was the second highest run-scorer for Netherlands against Nepal. Singh's partnership with Max played a vital role in the game.Even though they lost the match, Nepal performed brilliantly with the ball in the second innings. Rohit Paudel's team set a low target of 109 runs but he ensured that the Dutch team found it difficult to add runs.

Nepal's bowling attack failed to take early wickets due to which they lost the match. Sompal Kami, Deependra Singh Airi and Avinash Bohra took three wickets each in their respective spells.

Recalling the first innings of the match, after winning the toss, the Dutch side opted to field first against Nepal and their decision went in their favor as they managed to bundle out Nepal's batting lineup.Kushal Bhurtel (7 runs from 10 balls, 1 four) and Asif Shaikh (4 runs from 8 balls, 1 four) opened for Nepal and performed poorly.

Wickets started falling from the second over itself when Tim Pringle achieved the first success of the match by removing Asif from the crease.

Nepal captain Rohit Paudel (35 off 37 balls, 5 fours) was the only standout batsman for them as he was the highest run-scorer among his teammates.

Apart from Paudel, Gulsan Jha (14 runs off 15 balls, 1 six) and Karan KC (17 runs off 12 balls, 2 sixes) were the other run-scorers for Nepal.

From the first moment of the first innings, the Dutch bowling attack dominated the game and prevented Nepal from scoring runs.Pringle and Van Beek both took three wickets in their respective spells.
