Bridgetown [Barbados], England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first against USA in their Super 8 Group 2 match of the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval on Sunday.

England are third in Group Two with wins and losses, having lost their last match to South Africa by seven runs. The United States, on the other hand, has suffered two defeats and is largely out of the race for the semi-finals.

Speaking at the toss, Buttler said, "We will bowl first. It will be a tough start in the morning, that's the reason to bowl. Everyone is good and getting ready, there has been a quick turnaround. We have a tough game. "USA, we have played some tough cricket. I think the boys have bowled well, hopefully Chris Jordan will come in."

USA stand-in captain Aaron Jones said, "We also wanted to bowl first. We will work hard, it is a good wicket. We are going to play fearless cricket like we always do, let's see how it goes. We Need to bowl more." Disciplined in batting and bowling. Today (after the defeat against West Indies) I will come back stronger. "Same team as last game."
