Barbados [West Indies], After producing another match-winning performance with the ball for Australia, spinner Adam Zampa opened up about missing out on the chance to take the best catch of the ongoing T20 World Cup.

During Australia's clash against England at the Kensington Oval, Zampa got the opportunity to complete a stunning performance. But the ball did not stick in his hand and the chance to take one of the best catches in the history of the tournament was snatched away from him.

Australia was heading towards an easy victory in the 19th over. Pat Cummins had a chance to take three wickets and Zampa almost handed it away.Harry Brook took full pace, Zampa made a full-length dive and managed to catch the ball with one hand. But during landing he lost control due to which the ball left his hand.

"No, I don't know what happened there. It felt like I pulled it from somewhere, and it stuck. It happened for a second, and then, I don't know, I think sweat and its impact on the ground. Yes, I thought it would have been nice.I said remembering that moment.

After posting their best score in the history of the tournament, England mounted a counter-attack led by captain Jos Buttler and opening batsman Phil Salt.

Before changing the course of the game with his magic, Zampa admitted that Australia were in high spirits when the duo attacked strongly.

"I don't know, I try and play my part, I try and really put myself in a position to change the game," Zampa said. "We were on fire early on with the ball, they were 10. Were going for the score.,

Both of them increased the pressure on Australia by making a partnership of 73 runs in the seventh over. Zampa was handed the ball in the position he prefers to be in. The crafty spinner did not disappoint and dismissed the opening pair in his first two overs.

“I looked at the scoreboard and said, OK, now it's time to stand up. So, I absolutely love those situations. We play a lot of cricket where you don't feel that way. The World Cup is exactly what you play for. To be in those positions – it motivates me to keep going,” Zampa said.

Zampa finished with figures of 2/28 from four overs. His magic turned the situation in Australia's favor and they restricted England to 165/6 and won by 36 runs.
