New Delhi: A court here on Saturday extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Vibhav Kumar till June 22.

Kumar is accused of attacking AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister's official residence on May 13.

Kumar was produced before the duty metropolitan magistrate through video conferencing, who extended his custody and directed Delhi Police to produce him on June 22.

Earlier on Friday, the court had extended Kumar's custody by a day noting that the investigating officer (IO) was not present.

Kumar was arrested on 18 May. He was remanded to police custody for five days the same day by a magistrate court, which found that his anticipatory bail plea had become moot due to his arrest.

On May 24, he was sent to judicial custody for four days, after which he was again sent to police custody for three days.

An FIR was registered against Kumar on May 16 under various Indian Penal Code provisions, including criminal intimidation, assault or criminal force with intent to disarm a woman and attempt to commit culpable homicide.
