Pune, NCP (SP) candidate Supriya Sule, who is headed for victory against NCP candidate Sunetra Pawar in Baramati Lok Sabha seat, dedicated her victory to the people of her constituency and thanked them for supporting them.

The contest on Baramati seat, the home turf of the Pawar family, was being keenly watched as Sule's cousin Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra Pawar was in the fray against Sule. This was the first time that two members of the Pawar family contested elections against each other.

According to the latest figures, Sule is leading by more than 40,000 votes in Baramati. He has got 2,93,739 votes, while his rival Sunetra Pawar has got 2,52,902 votes.

Sule said, "I am grateful to the people of Baramati. After the victory, our collective responsibilities have increased. Forget whatever happened. Whatever happened during the elections was not in line with the politics of Maharashtra and the upcoming state elections. "This should be avoided." We will take full precautions."

He said that it is everyone's responsibility to maintain the 'aan, ban, shaan' (respect, pride and prestige) and culture of Maharashtra during the elections.

When asked about the intense campaigning during the Lok Sabha elections, he said, "We maintained that tradition in these elections and we will maintain it in the upcoming elections also."

Terming his victory and the success of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) as the success of the people, Sule said that the workers who stood firmly with his father in this crucial period are the real strength of the party.
