Pune NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule on Thursday sought formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) medical entrance test and other exams.

Talking to reporters here, he said that even though technology is constantly evolving, several problems arose in the conduct of various exams like the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (undergraduate).

"The government is insensitive towards the problems of farmers, women and students. Frequent irregularities are taking place in NEET, talathi exams and now UGC (NET) exams. Despite the way technology is evolving "Why are there frequent failures in these exams? Form an SIT to investigate these irregularities," said MP Baramati.

"I can understand that problems arise from time to time, but now these problems occur from time to time," he said.

He also alleged that the crime rate in the state was increasing.

"My question to the state Home Minister is why most of the complaints against the government are related to the Home Ministry. Cases related to hit and run and crimes against women are increasing and there is no fear of the police" , he added.

Earlier, Sule said on X that the NDA government canceled the UGC-NET exam over integrity and fairness concerns.

"This raises a burning question: Can the NDA government really ensure fair exams or will exams be canceled one after another due to widespread frauds at play? The NDA government had earlier claimed that no NEET papers were leaked, but the Additional arrests made by Bihar Police suggest Otherwise, the NDA government is yet to take any action," he said.

Sule added that this repeated failure to ensure the integrity of the examinations shakes the faith and future of our youth, who are already struggling with high unemployment.
