ROME (Italy): Seeking to end his six-year-long title drought on the European Tour, Subhankar Sharma carded a bogey-free 4-under 67 to take a four-way lead after three rounds at the Italian Open here. .

Sharma, who has already booked a place in next month's Open at Royal Troon by breaking into the top-10 in 2023, is now at 10-under with rounds of 68-68-67.

He shared the lead with 2023 Indian Open winner Marcel Siem (66).

Siem Sharma is ahead of Antony Rosner (62), who won the Mauritius Open in 2022, and Sebastian Frederiksen (68).

Sharma, whose second of two European Tour wins came in 2018, had birdies at the third, fifth, 14th and 15th.

Her first win came at the Joburg Open in 2017 and then she won the 2018 Maybank Championship in Malaysia. Sharma's score of 61 in the second round in Joburg helped Malaysia win with a score of 62.

After making the cut over the line with a birdie on his last hole in the second round, Rosner was the star of the day with a 9-under 62.

Rosner 62 was a new course at the Adriatic Golf Club.

Siem, who was injured at the beginning of the year and missed the defense of his title at the Indian Open, birdied the first, third, fifth and eighth and then added birdies on the 12th, 15th and 18th holes.
