Tripura, who will face Chandigarh in Group B, showed excellent attacking prowess in the second session after trailing by a goal at half-time to win 8-1. While Naithak Jamatiya scored three goals for the winners, Ayush Chakma, Poito Debbarma, Genesis Darlong, Hamkrungha Reang and Tarun Sarkar were the other goalscorers.

In another match of Group B, Haryana defeated Andaman and Nicobar 8-0.

Sukhwinder scored as early as the 5th minute, followed by Rajeev Kapoor in the 23rd minute before half time. Haryana scored five more goals in the second half. Harjinder Singh scored in the 50th minute, while Sukhwinder (65', 67') and Rajiv (84', 90+2') scored again to wrap up the match.

In the opening match of Group D, Himachal Pradesh defeated Andaman and Nicobar 11-0 and secured all three points.
