Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday emphasized that exemplary technology and human behavior are essential for any medical institution to be effective and successful.

"Technology must be up-to-date and able to anticipate future advances. In addition, all medical equipment must be highly sensitive," he said.

CM Yogi made these comments while he was addressing a meeting after inaugurating the fourth state-of-the-art radiotherapy machine (Varian Halcyon) at Hanuman Prasad Poddar Cancer Hospital and Research Institute in Geeta Vatika on Friday evening.

He stated, "If an individual or an institution fails to keep pace with the times, they are left behind. Therefore, it is crucial to stay ahead of the time to foster healthy competition in our field."

CM Yogi also pointed out that medical institutions must stay connected with the ongoing research in the medical and health sectors to stay ahead.

He noted that people's ability to pay for healthcare has increased and there are now many facilities available at the government level. "Many people in the state have benefited from schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister's Relief Fund. As a result, there is a growing demand for high-quality facilities," the Chief said. The minister said.

Yogi also emphasized that cutting-edge technology and compassionate human behavior are crucial for a medical institution. Doctors, paramedical staff, nurses and all associated staff must empathize with patients, treat their pain as their own and care for them with dedication. "In addition, the institution needs to keep up with technological advances," he stressed.

The CM highlighted that anticipating the treatment of diseases such as cancer is even more critical for the institution and highlighted the importance of making continuous efforts to ensure that citizens benefit from the latest research.

Praising Hanuman Prasad Poddar Cancer Hospital for its commitment to staying at the forefront of technological advancements, Yogi said, "Since 2013, the hospital has constantly adopted new technologies, installing four state-of-the-art machines sequentially to provide treatment facilities exceptional."

He said the hospital quickly replaces older technologies with newer ones. CM Yogi highlighted that Hanuman Prasad Poddar Cancer Hospital, which has earned a distinguished reputation in health and medicine, will celebrate its golden jubilee next year, marking 50 years of service. He assured that the government is fully prepared to support any major initiative undertaken by the hospital.

Yogi also commented that in the past, a cancer diagnosis caused immense pain to entire families, which was often only discovered at an advanced stage. "Today, people can get better treatment with better access to healthcare and support from programs like Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Chief Minister's Relief Fund," he said.

"The government fully supports the healthcare needs of the people and it is crucial to raise social awareness about these benefits," Yogi added.

The CM also urged other charities to contribute towards healthcare and education. By working together, the government and these organizations can provide the best facilities possible.

On this occasion, paying homage to Hanuman Prasad Poddar 'Bhai Ji' and his dedicated associate Radha Baba, Yogi acknowledged their lifelong commitment to public welfare. He emphasized that both Bhai Ji and Radha Baba saw service to humanity as service to God, highlighting that true service involves helping the poor and distressed.

At the inauguration ceremony of the state-of-the-art cancer radiotherapy machine, Medical Director of Cancer Hospital Dr HR Mali and Administrator of Hanuman Prasad Poddar Memorial Committee Vishnu Prasad Ajit Sariya welcomed the Minister Main with a bouquet.

After inaugurating the advanced radiotherapy machine at Hanuman Prasad Poddar Cancer Hospital and Research Institute, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the machine and received information about its functioning from the specialist doctor present.
