Mumbai: A senior citizen died on the spot after being hit by a speeding car inside a civil hospital in central Mumbai. A police officer gave this information on Saturday.
The accident occurred on Friday night on the premises of Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Genera Hospital, also known as Sion Hospital, he said.
According to the Sion police station official, the victim woman has not been identified yet.
"Preliminary information suggests that the woman was hit by a car, but we are waiting for the hospital's statement before registering a case," he said.
The officer said police have collected details which establish that the woman died due to a car accident on the hospital premises.
“Further investigation is underway,” he said.
