The deceased has been identified as Govind (45), while the injured has been identified as Ashok, both are rickshaw pullers by profession.
According to police, a PCR call was received at 1:16 pm. An accident was reported near the main gate of Ramjas College at Maurice Nagar police station on Sunday, following which a team was sent to the spot.
On reaching the accident site, police found that the driver of an Audi car lost control and collided with two people sitting on a bench on the roadside.
“Both were taken to Hindu Rao Hospital. Govind was referred to Lok Nayak Hospital from where he died,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), M.K. he said. Meena.
The accused has been identified as Virendra (56), resident of Mukherjee Nagar. Further investigation is underway,” the officer said.
