Ballia (UP), In a blow to the Samajwadi Party, its leader and former minister Narad Rai indicated that he is all set to join the BJP and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.

He also shared a picture of his meeting with Shah in which SBSP leader O Prakash Rajbhar is also seen.

According to SBSP national spokesperson Arun Rajbhar, Rai had met Shah in Varanasi on Monday.

"Following the resolve of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, who made India proud in the world, and Honorable Home Minister of India, Honorable Narendra Modi Ji, I will strengthen the thinking and nationalist ideology of empowering the poor living in the last row of the society." At a meeting in Khori Pakad village on Monday, Raid had alleged that he was insulted at a rally in favor of SP candidate Sanatan Pandey as SP president Akhilesh Yadav did not take his name despite being present on the stage.

In the meeting, he had sought support for putting a 'lock' on the bicycle (SP's election symbol).

Voting will be held in Ballia in the seventh phase on June 1.

BJP has fielded Neeraj Shekhar from this seat.
