Mumbai, Newly married acting couple Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal on Tuesday shared unseen photos from their reception and said their wedding day was filled with love and support from "every one of our friends, families and teams".

The duo tied the knot on Sunday at Sonakshi's house in a low-key civil marriage ceremony, followed by a star-studded reception here.

Sonakshi, 37, and Zaheer, 35, posted pictures from their reception in a joint Instagram post. Similar to their wedding announcement, comments were disabled on the last post as the couple was reportedly subjected to hate for their interfaith union.

"What a day!!! The love, the laughter, the union, the emotion, the warmth, the support of each of our friends, families and teams...", they titled the series of photos.

"It was like the universe came together for two people in love to give them exactly what they had always hoped, desired and prayed for. If this isn't divine intervention... we don't know what is. We are both truly a blessing to have each other. and so much love protecting us," the couple further said.

There were reports that his father, veteran actor and MP Shatrughan Sinha, was unhappy that the "Heeramandi" star had not informed him about the wedding. The rumors died down when Shatrughan Sinha happily posed with Zaheer and his family days before the nuptials.

There were reports that his brothers Luv and Kussh Sinha also missed the wedding, but both brothers rubbished those stories.

Sonakshi and Zaheer first collaborated for the music video for the song "Blockbuster," which was released in September 2022. Months later, they co-starred in the comedy-drama "Double XL."

The duo, who dated for seven years, did not publicly confirm their relationship, but were often photographed attending events together and shared photos on social media.

Sonakshi was last seen in the Netflix series "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar", in which she played the dual role of Rehaana and Fareedan. Zaheer, son of the city's renowned jeweler Iqbal Ratansi, had a special appearance in the action film "Ruslaan".
